Good afternoon Souls,
It's been a long time since I haven't posted on my blog. I didn't paint for almost 6 months, because I can't do what I don't feel... So I took a break until one day one person wrote me a message. We had a long conversation about one of my paintings " Golden Sri Yantra" . She liked a lot the combination of green and gold colours and she sais that would like to have one hang next to her Own Flower Of Life Painting ( a beautiful painting ).
I have explained her that right now I can't do it because I don't feel it :) and she understood me very well , as we were talking the same language.
She made me to rethink and find that inner power to begin to dot after being absent for 6 months.
Painting this Sri Yantra was like a healing process for me and I had the awesome idea :D to make a time-lapse video , more than 40 hours of dotting , tens of tones of green , double colored dots , and a lot of positive energy.
Good afternoon Souls
Recently I have made 10 bamboo plates for the First Communion of my nephew. Usually I paint on cotton canvas, I am not a big fan of wood surface for painting. I have decided to try these bamboo plates because is a beautiful gift for relatives and friends , especially with a plate stand that will turn into a beautiful decoration idea and an amazing way to add some colour to your room.
Everything begins with a bamboo plate diameter 30 cm. First step and the most important is to apply 3-4 coats of Gesso.
Gesso is an important art supply to get your surface ready for painting. Gesso makes the surface slightly textured and ready to accept acrylic paint. Without gesso, the paint would soak into the wood and also the dots will lose its volume and this is not the effect that I desire :)
I am always doing that which I cannot do, in order that I may learn how to do it.
