I have always been fascinated of the Ancient Egyptian Civilisation and Mystery . Painting The Eye of Horus Mandala Dot Art , I have been inspired from the Ancient Egypt.
Horus, represented as the falcon-headed god, was an important god in Ancient Egyptian Civillization. The symbol representing his eye, the Eye of Horus (All seeing eye) was a powerful symbol used to protect from evil.
The ancient Egyptian Eye of Horus or wedjat ('Whole One') sometimes spelled udjat, refers to Egypt's sacred eye symbol and is a powerful symbol of protection, and is also considered to confer wisdom, health and prosperity.
The ancient Egyptians believed that this symbol has a very powerful and magical effect on restoring harmony to the unstabilized world and restoring unrightful things.
The left eye, represents the moon. The left eye reflects fluid, feminine, lunar energy, and rules intuition and magic. The Left Eye of Horus, is associated with the feminine pathway, explores the human nature of emotions and feelings, sexual energy and birthing.
As I promised , I'll write one article about the Mandala based on numerology. All my mandalas have a symbolic meaning, and also mystical , inspired from different cultures and ancient civilisations.
What is a Mandala?
The meaning of the word "Mandala" comes from Sanskrit meaning "circle." A Mandala has a concentric structure and is far more than a simple shape. The mandala appears in all aspects of life, different cultures and religions. It represents the celestial circles we call earth, sun, and moon, as well as conceptual circles of friends, family, and community.
What's a Numerical Mandala?
Many people know that Evil Eye is one of my favorite mystic symbol. Knowing its meaning helps me to create Evil Eye Painting with this specific purpose in mind.
Every nation has superstitions of which some originated thousands of years ago. A popular belief existing in many corners of society is the evil eye.
The belief about evil eyes goes back to the ancient cultures of Mesopotamia and Egypt. The human eyes have been regarded as a powerful and influential weapon for thousands of years.
As in many cultures, Turks and Greeks believe the envy of others can cause harm and that with the evil eye amulet all the bad energy will be directed to the amulet. The concept of the "evil" or envious eye is recognized by many cultures and religions, including the Mexican, Italian, Turkish, Russian, Greek, Spanish and German cultures and Christianity, Islam and Judiasm.
These days I I have finished a new Dot Art painting – Butterfly Mandala with Evil Eye
As I decided to explain what’s hidden behind every Mandala , its meaning and symbolism… this time I’ll write some separated articles about the same Butterfly Mandala With Evil Eye .
One articles I wish to dedicate to the Butterfly and its spiritual meaning.
The second article about Evil Eye symbol –I ADORE IT – and the 3d about the meaning of number 6 in Mandala.
When I begin to make my Mandala , wasn’t in my mind the Butterfly. :)
The ideas come while I’m painting, or while I'm staying and looking to the center of Mandala for minutes. And I said to myself “ Butterflies with Evil Eye”… Yes that is!! The butterflies are beautiful and have a spiritual meaning.
Namaste (na’mas’te) is a profound and sublime greeting of humility and respect.
As a greeting, Namaste is embraced in the spirit of total surrender to the divine that exists within us all.
The word Namaste is a combination of the two Sanskrit words: nama, and te. Basically, nama means "to bow" and te means "you." The Namaste salutation was transmitted from ancient India to the countries of South-east Asia, and has now traveled virtually all over the globe.
Spiritual Significance of Namaste:
The reason why we do namaste has a deeper spiritual significance. It recognises the belief that the life force, the divinity, the Self or the God in me is the same in all.
Acknowledging this oneness with the meeting of the palms, we honor the God in the person we meet.
I am always doing that which I cannot do, in order that I may learn how to do it.
