My last painting "Journey into Balance" Dot painting made me reflect on Balance. How can we create a balanced life in our Modern World?
Most of us aspire to live a balanced life. We want to spend enough time and energy in each aspect of our lives. But how that is possible when our lives fall out of balance due to workplace stress, an accident or injury, an event, or even a worry that grows larger with each passing day.
What does it mean to live a balanced life? What does it mean to have “Balance” in Your Life?
Someone may be interested in balancing his account :P , another one wants to balance his life, and millions of people wish to find perfect balance between both. :)
Balance is completely personalised and individual.
We say : “ Is so difficult to create Balance when this world is unbalanced”!
May be… but…the way you see the world is the way you see the world. Our perception of our world colours everything we do. It shapes our entire existence. We see things not as they are but as we are–that is, we see the world not as it is, but as molded by our minds, or, as we are conditioned to see it.
Once you balance yourself, only then you can balance the world.
I wish I could give you a magic formula for creating balance in your life in this unbalanced world.
For sure , being in balance doesn’t mean waking up in the morning and saying to yourself: “ Today I’ll be balanced, my life is balanced and i’ll not someone ruins my day !“
Someone may say : “ I feel balanced when I’m spending my time with my children , or at my yoga courses ecc.
Ok but we are talking about a balanced life, not a balanced 2-3 hours we spend doing what we love most. Balance means not just in our body, but also in our mind and spirit.
Balance in work, family, health, community, spirituality, social life, and finances. When you sincerely say to yourself: “ I'm a very happy and fulfilled person!”
You may find success in living a perfectly unbalanced life. Being rich, successful doesn’t mean to be fulfilled… Often we are just fulfilling mother’s dream, or someone’s dreams … except OURS.
We become frustrated , disappointed, angry with the world , unsatisfied with life and with ourselves.
Our imbalance comes from the dissatisfaction between our daily existence, with its routines and habits, and the dream we have deep within ourselves of some extraordinarily satisfying way of living.
How often what you think, and what you do are in harmony?
So many times we find ourselves caught in a TRAP… between whom we wish to be and whom we need to be, and we're born pretty darn great at lying to ourselves. What we think and what we do are not in harmony at all.
In order to create balance in any area of our life, we have to use the energy of our thoughts to harmonise with what we desire.
Only you can create a new alignment with your mental energy and instruct the Universe to send opportunities to correct this imbalance.
The world of reality has its limits, the world of our imagination is without boundaries.
So what are your dreams? What is it that lives within you that’s never gone away? What inner night-light continues to glow in your thoughts and dreams? Whatever it is, however absurd it may seem to others, if you want to restore the balance between your dreams and your habits, you need to use your energy to make your dreams come true. If you are out of balance, because you have energetically allowed your habits to define your life. Those habits, and the consequences thereof, are the result of the energy you have given them.
You must learn to stop spending your energy on thoughts you don’t want and try to be the person you always wanted to be.
Just find the balance that's RIGHT for you and don’t forget that the universe, overall, seems to be perfectly balanced ! You are the universe in ecstatic motion!
