Good afternoon Souls,
Last week a person send me an email and asked me to write a little about one of my paintings "Dharma Wheel" or "The Wheel of Life". I was really happy that I have been asked about the painting, that means a lot to me. I've always said that I don't want just a painting hang up on wall, is important the connection , the feeling and the emotion between the person and the painting. It has to be something positive, meditative, hopeful, mindfulness.
Usually I write about my paintings and my intentions and thoughts behind it . Due to lack of time :) , I didn't write about this painting.
"The Wheel of Life" painting is one-of-a-kind. I've never used a such technique before. I've built up this mandala with acrylic paste for a 3D effect. I have chosen gold and purple colors for the contrast and balance of masculine and feminine and also for its meaning.
The color gold is the color associated with abundance , wealth , success and prosperity. This color is linked to masculine energy and the power of the sun.
At the spiritual level, this is a color which is associated with higher ideals, wisdom, understanding, compassion, and enlightenment. It inspires knowledge, spirituality and a deep understanding of the self and the soul.
Gold is generous and giving, compassionate and loving, the benefactor sharing its wisdom, knowledge and wealth with others.
Gold has long been associated with royalty throughout the world, along with purple.The color purple holds ancient meaning of sacred wisdom and enlightenment.
The color purple allows us to get in touch with our deepest thoughts, assists those seeking the meaning of life and spiritual fulfillment.
This is also the color of the crown chakra and the spiritual awakening.
Why Dharma wheel? Why wheel of life?
I have been inspired form the Buddhist teachings... One of the oldest symbols of Buddhism.
The eightfold path is how we need to experience life in order to get the most from it.
Essentially, by leading a balanced and simple life, we will sign in tune with the natural laws of the Universe.
* Right Intent
* Right Speech
* Right Action
* Right Livelihood
* Right Effort
* Right Mindfulness
* Right Concentration.
May God Bless Us All,
Love and Peace <3
Good afternoon Souls
Recently I have made 10 bamboo plates for the First Communion of my nephew. Usually I paint on cotton canvas, I am not a big fan of wood surface for painting. I have decided to try these bamboo plates because is a beautiful gift for relatives and friends , especially with a plate stand that will turn into a beautiful decoration idea and an amazing way to add some colour to your room.
Everything begins with a bamboo plate diameter 30 cm. First step and the most important is to apply 3-4 coats of Gesso.
Gesso is an important art supply to get your surface ready for painting. Gesso makes the surface slightly textured and ready to accept acrylic paint. Without gesso, the paint would soak into the wood and also the dots will lose its volume and this is not the effect that I desire :)
Hey there ,
Today I would like to write some thoughts about my Koi Fish Painting.
I try to send a message to the world with each painting, each mandala, each symbol on my canvas. trying to make people to look beyond the dots.
Like the Lotus Flower , Koi Fish legend gives us a beautiful lesson of Life.
Koi fish are a common symbol, as a representative species or icon for luck and prosperity, in both Chinese culture and Feng Shui.
The history goes way beyond that.
Good afternoon Souls,
Today I would like to write some words about Body, Mind and Spirit Mandala I've finished last days.
The idea of this mandala came to me the day I saw this crop circle.
I like all the crop circles , but I prefer those that I found in it a meaning. And this crop circle spoke to my heart.
I really didn't like in this crop circle the direction of Yin Yan(s). I see it as a backward motion but I prefer the clockwise motions, because make me feel moving forward ;-)
So I have analyzed this geometric pattern and I have drawn it on my way.

Color communicates without a word. Why I have chosen Purple and Golden flower of life and Lotus Pose for my painting " Bloom from within" ?
Purple combines the calm stability of blue and the fierce energy of red.
The color purple is often associated with royalty, nobility, luxury, power, and ambition. Purple also represents meanings of wealth, extravagance, creativity, wisdom, dignity, grandeur, devotion, peace, pride, mystery, independence, and magic.
HOW THE COLOR PURPLE AFFECTS US PHYSICALLY

All emotions and feelings are a source of energy. We can look at a painting in a Gallery or wherever you see it , and in our mind comes an episode of our life , may be a pleasant one, enjoyable or less, fear or sadness. Often the emotion plays in artmaking a major role.
Usually an artist express his feelings in his paintings. In fact , art is based on feelings ans emotions. :)
We are emotional beings and is hard to control our emotions. Not the emotions are the problem but the crowd of overwhelming emotions. Anything overwhelming is very unstable. It comes like a wind and passes by, leaving you behind, empty, shattered, in sadness and in sorrow.
Emotion is very fragile, very changing. One moment it seems that is all. Another moment you are simply empty.
I have noticed that I cannot paint if I'm feeling sad or too happy :)... I can do it , but I know that I'll not like the result, that painting will not inspire something , it will be empty. So I prefer to stay away of my canvas in that days. IS MY CHOICE!
I don't care about how many paintings I have to paint in a month. It's NOT quantity that matters.
Often the people ask : "How many hours were taking on this painting? "
My answer? " I don't know" :D
I am always doing that which I cannot do, in order that I may learn how to do it.
